1997 National Institute for Disaster Prevention(NIPD)
created under the Ministry of the Home Affairs(9.2.)
1998 Transferred into the Ministry of Government
Administration and Home Affairs(2.28.)
2004 Transferred into the National Emergency
Management Agency as it was inaugurated(6.1.)
2009 Managed General R&D tasks related to disaster
and safety management in the National Emergency
Management Agency
2011 Transferred into the Ministry of Public Administration
and Security, and expanded and reorganized to
National Disaster Management Institute (10.25.)
2013 Transferred into the Ministry of Security and Public
Administration as an executive agency, and changed
the name as National Disaster Management
Research Institute(NDMI)(3.23.)
2014 Transferred into the Ministry of Public Safety and
Security as it was inaugurated(11.19.)
2015 Relocated to Ulsan Metropolitan City(12.21.)
