The Department of Public Service at Mokwon University aims to cultivate public human resources in various fields, including public sector managers, civic and NGO group activists, and specialized talent specialized in intellectual property that contribute to solving social problems in countries, regions, and communities.
Globalization, informatization, localization, rapid technological development, and environmental changes require problem-solving skills based on professional knowledge and creativity. In order to actively cope with these environmental changes and foster future-oriented and creative public human resources that the global society needs, we operate a curriculum that encompasses policy, administration, and intellectual property. Fostering basic knowledge as a public human resource through curriculum such as interdisciplinary convergence education such as education, administration, policy, and intellectual property, and field-oriented practical education, which are specialized in the public sector, which can enhance interest and analysis ability in public issues.
In addition, in order to enhance the ability to solve various problems arising in the public sector, we intend to cultivate an overall understanding of the public sector and policy analysis and management skills. We aim to produce specialists in the public sector through consumer-oriented education and practical education systems aimed at administrative and public service professionals. In addition, in order to enhance the convergent thinking and problem-solving skills that are the basis for solving complex social problems, we operate curriculums that are highly related to adjacent studies such as law, politics, sociology, and technology. In particular, as the technological environment changes, we aim to cultivate active talents who act to solve public problems by operating a curriculum specialized in intellectual property management and enhancing the problem-solving skills required in the public sector.
